Is my 3D design safe when I use the Viewer?+
Yes, 100%. Our viewer uses "Client-Side Rendering." This means your file is processed entirely within your own web browser's memory. It is never uploaded, stored, or seen by K.P.C-J Design until you manually attach it to an email for a quote.
The Viewer says my model fits, but it's marked as "Multi-Filament." Why?+
Multi-filament printing requires extra space on the print bed for a "Purge Tower" (where the printer cleans the nozzle between colors). Our Auto-Analyzer automatically accounts for this reduced space to ensure we can physically complete your print.
Will my physical print look exactly like the digital 3D preview?+
The viewer is a high-fidelity simulation designed for **size-checking**. While it gives an excellent representation of the shape, final physical characteristics like exact color shade, layer lines, and surface texture are determined by the specific filament and professional slicing settings used.
What happens if the Auto-Analyzer says my model is too large?+
Don't worry! You can still request a quote. We can often suggest 'splitting' the model into multiple interlocking parts or scaling it down slightly to fit the build volume.
What happens if my browser crashes while filling out an order?+
Don't panic! K.P.C-J Design utilizes a "Pulse Recovery" system. Your progress is saved locally in your browser for 72 hours. If you return to the Order Page, you will see a "Draft Detected" widget allowing you to resume exactly where you left off.
How are cookies and local storage used on this site?+
We use standard local storage to cache your active workbench sessions and order drafts, and optional performance cookies (Google Analytics) to help us improve user experience. You can manage your preferences at any time via the cookie settings.
What exactly are "Raw Prints"?+
"Raw Prints" are delivered exactly as they come off the print bed, with plastic support structures still attached. You are responsible for manually removing these and performing any final cleanup. If you prefer a ready-to-use product, please select the "Finished Print" option during checkout.
Do I need to have a 3D file ready, or can K.P.C-J Design design for me?+
Both! We offer 3D CAD modeling as a separate service to bring your concept to life before printing.
Do you paint, sand, or assemble the prints?+
By default, we provide the physical printed parts. However, we now offer a "Finished Print" service where we professionally remove supports and perform surface cleanup. For full aesthetic finishing (painting/sanding) or complex assembly, please contact us for a custom B2B quote.
Why can I see a geometric pattern inside my printed object?+
This is a standard characteristic of 3D manufacturing. Certain filaments have inherent translucency, causing internal infill to ghost through the outer shell. If you require 100% solid opacity, please specify this.
Are the Architect's infill recommendations guaranteed to be strong enough?+
The Architect provides excellent baseline recommendations. However, standard infill recommendations may not always be compatible with highly complex geometries. Final structural validation is the client's responsibility.
I need a part to fit an existing machine. Can you guarantee the fit?+
For mechanical fitment, we require physical context photos and critical dimensions (hole spacing, tolerances) and print in "High Precision Mode." While we use calibrated professional-grade equipment, final fitment depends on the accuracy of the data you provide. We always recommend a prototype run for critical machinery parts.
What is a 'Design Freeze' and what is my responsibility during this stage?+
A Design Freeze is the final milestone where the digital 3D model is locked and approved. Clients are strictly responsible for responding and confirming the freeze within 72 hours of our outreach. Failure to respond will stall the production schedule, and K.P.C-J Design is not liable for delayed timelines resulting from client response latency.
Why is it important to fully describe my project's application when ordering?+
Fully describing your project's context (such as mechanical load, temperature exposure, or fitment needs) is critical for our engineering review. Without a thorough description, our standard slicing assumptions might not align with your part's physical demands, which could lead to parts that are not strong enough or fail in their operating environment.
How does the manual engineering review process work?+
Once you submit a quote request, our engineering team manually inspects the 3D model geometry. We check for structural integrity, wall thickness, slicing optimizations, and material compatibility. If we identify printability challenges or optimization opportunities, we will contact you via the Account Center or official email to suggest design updates before releasing the final quote.
What are the limits when rescheduling a production deadline?+
In compliance with our timeline guardrails, deadlines can only be rescheduled to a future date within 365 days from today. The system strictly blocks selecting any date in the past or beyond the 365-day production window to maintain calendar consistency.
Can I place orders or send contact inquiries outside standard operational hours?+
Yes, absolutely. Our website, Technical Workbench, and automated quoting engine are fully operational 24/7. You can calculate estimates, upload files, submit quote requests, and send contact messages at any time. While manual engineering reviews and human support inquiries are processed during standard business hours (Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:00), the digital portal remains open day and night.
How can I pay for my order?+
Private individuals can pay securely online by credit/debit card via Stripe (processed through our trusted corporate partner and affiliated entity, Growth Pitstop (Accelerated Sales Growth Technology Ltd), due to service age restrictions). Detailed payment instructions and a secure payment checkout link are displayed in your Client Account Center once your quote is manually released. Alternative payment arrangements (such as bank transfer) can be coordinated by contacting support directly via the portal's Secure Collaboration Hub. Corporate/B2B clients are eligible for Net-30 bank invoicing terms following payment of a 50% deposit for orders 3,000 NOK and over.
Why does Growth Pitstop appear on my card statement or payment receipt?+
Card payments for K.P.C-J Design are securely processed via Stripe through our trusted corporate partner and affiliated entity, Growth Pitstop (legal name: Accelerated Sales Growth Technology Ltd), solely due to merchant service age restrictions for our youth-driven engineering studio. Growth Pitstop operates strictly as a monetary transaction facilitator. In accordance with our strict data isolation and mutual NDA protections, Growth Pitstop has zero access to your confidential 3D CAD files, design drawings, technical parameters, proprietary formulas, or personal customer data.
How do I verify that an invoice or payment request is authentic?+
Every invoice and payment notification email issued by K.P.C-J Design includes a tamper-proof cryptographic security seal and an instant verification link. If you ever wish to verify an invoice reference and security token independently, you can launch our Invoice Authenticity Verification Tool.
Do you accept orders in English?+
Yes, absolutely! There is no problem at all if you only speak English. K.P.C-J Design is fully bilingual and happy to handle your entire project and communication in English.
What happens if an order is cancelled or terminated?+
If you cancel before production begins, no reason is required and no fees apply. However, if an order is cancelled while in progress, you are strictly responsible for paying the amount corresponding to the labor, materials, and machine time already utilized. We also reserve the right to terminate orders immediately without refund if safety concerns arise.
How long will it take / Can I get it faster?+
Timelines are estimates. For urgent projects, K.P.C-J Design offers a Priority Queue for an additional 25% of the production cost.
What file formats do you accept?+
We prefer .STEP or .STL files for 3D models. For Blank Canvas projects, we also accept .JPG, .PNG, and .PDF reference images. All submitted files—including images—are subject to our strict 30-day auto-purge policy.
Are the Cost Analyzer estimates binding?+
No. The Cost Analyzer provides calculated guesses based solely on mathematical volume. They are for your planning only and do not constitute a final quote. All final quotes require manual human review by K.P.C-J Design.
How do I track my order's progress after submission?+
Once your order is approved, you can sign in to the Client Account Center. From there, you can view your real-time production status, download technical documentation, and view your project history and manufacturing specifications.
Why is it recommended to check my Account Center frequently when an order is active?+
To ensure you receive critical engineering feedback, technical queries, or quote release updates in real-time. Delayed responses to engineering inquiries or pending payments may stall your production queue.
Why do B2B clients need to provide an Organisasjonsnummer?+
In Norway, a valid Org. No. is required for us to confirm a legitimate B2B order and process corporate billing. Without this, the order must be processed as a standard individual consumer transaction.
How much does it cost to place an order?+
Every order includes a standard base setup fee of 25.00 NOK (or equivalent). This covers initial file processing, basic slicing setup, and administrative handling, regardless of the final part's size or complexity.
How do I link a past guest order to my newly registered Account Center?+
To link past orders, register your Account Center using the exact same email address you used during checkout. Our database automatically runs a secure ownership scan and binds your complete historical order records, telemetry statistics, and project blueprints reloadlessly to your dashboard.
What is the difference between Private (B2C) and Corporate (B2B) order types?+
Private Individual orders require 100% upfront payment before design or printing starts. B2B Corporate orders (valid Org. No. required) for projects 3,000 NOK and over are eligible for Net-30 invoicing terms following a 50% deposit. B2B orders also support custom corporate finishing, volume scale logistics, and standardized NDA compliance.
What is the difference between a 'Print-Ready' file and a 'Blank Canvas' project?+
A Print-Ready order means you provide a fully optimized 3D file (.STL or .STEP) which we analyze and print immediately. A Blank Canvas project means you don't have a 3D file—only sketches, ideas, or physical parts. We provide custom CAD/3D modeling services to design the part for you before printing.
Can I submit multiple files in a single order request?+
Yes, you can upload and submit multiple distinct CAD files (.STL or .STEP) within a single order request. The workbench dynamic cart will automatically aggregate all files, calculate combined physical metrics, and summarize them under a single consolidated quote request.
What happens after I submit a quote request?+
Once submitted, your request enters our manual review queue. Our engineering team reviews the geometry for printability, verifies material compatibility, and releases a formal quote to your Account Center within 1-2 business days. You will receive an email notification when your quote is ready for approval and payment.
Is K.P.C-J Design a non-profit company, or does placing an order cost money?+
K.P.C-J Design is a commercial, for-profit business and not a non-profit company. Placing an order, requesting custom CAD design work, or submitting physical manufacturing projects incurs real-world material, labor, and machinery costs. All services and manufactured parts are paid transactions based on our formal quotes.
What delivery method should I choose for highly fragile parts?+
We highly recommend selecting Local Pickup rather than postal shipping for highly fragile prints (e.g. thin-walled or complex structural supports). While we package all shipments with utmost care, local pickup completely avoids any risk of transport damage.
Do you ship internationally / outside of Norway?+
No. K.P.C-J Design strictly operates domestic postal shipping within Norway. All delivery addresses must have a valid 4-digit Norwegian postal code, a Norwegian phone number (+47), and contain no foreign country references. For international clients, we only support local pickup at our Nordre Follo studio by arrangement.
Is K.P.C-J Design the official brand name?+
Yes. The primary and official brand name is K.P.C-J Design (or K.P.C-J DESIGN). 'KPCJ Design' is accepted as an alternative in technical environments where special characters like dots and hyphens are not supported.
Who is the Founder and CEO of K.P.C-J Design?+
K.P.C-J Design was founded and is led by CEO Kevin Patrick Collis-Jahr, who oversees all local and remote operations, lead engineering, and high-precision client commissions in Nordre Follo.
Will I receive email updates when my order status changes?+
Yes! Our platform utilizes automated systems that monitor your order. You will receive real-time email updates whenever your order status changes (e.g. when your custom quote is released, when your print is queued, when production starts, or when it is completed and ready).
Are all the policies and parameters shown on K.P.C-J Design legally active and real?+
Yes, absolutely. All displayed policies (including our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Standard Security Agreement, and B2B Net-30 rules) are fully active, legally binding agreements between K.P.C-J Design and our clients. Similarly, our dynamic workbench computations, material guidelines, and environmental impact rules reflect actual engineering calculations and operating conditions.
What is the Standard Security Agreement and what does it imply?+
The Standard Security Agreement is a binding set of rules protecting our engineering resources and platform integrity. It implies that: (1) You confirm you will not attempt to bypass or exploit our digital system limits (e.g. regional boundaries, pricing calculators); (2) You will not use fraudulent corporate credentials; (3) You will not request prohibited or illegal safety-risk prints (firearm parts, regulated components); and (4) Communication must remain professional. Violations result in immediate order termination, full forfeiture of deposits, and reporting to relevant cybercrime authorities (NC3).
Who owns the design files?+
You own any files you provide. However, any digital files (CAD/STL) created by K.P.C-J Design remain our exclusive property unless a specific license or buy-out is agreed upon.
Can I resell the items I buy?+
No. All products are for personal use only. Commercial resale, reproduction, or distribution is strictly prohibited.
How can I suggest new services or features?+
We love user-driven innovation! Use the "Provide Feedback" button below to send us your ideas. Many of our current tools started as client suggestions.
How do I know a communication from K.P.C-J Design is legitimate?+
All official emails from K.P.C-J Design will come exclusively from the @kpcjdesign.com domain and will include a secure, cryptographic signature. We will never ask for your password, social security number, or direct bank details over email or chat. All payments are processed through our secure, designated gateway.
How does K.P.C-J Design protect users against scams and fraudulent billing?+
All official transactions and quotes are processed strictly within our secure database and designated payment gateways. We never request passwords, credit card numbers, or direct bank details via email, phone, or chat. Any attempts to impersonate K.P.C-J Design or submit fraudulent company credentials are automatically flagged, and logs are forwarded to the cybercrime authorities (NC3).
How long does a printed part last?+
The lifespan of a 3D printed part is highly variable and depends entirely on mechanical stress and environmental factors (such as UV exposure, heat, and moisture). While indoor decorative parts can last indefinitely, functional mechanical components may experience wear over time depending on the material chosen and the real-world application.
How should I contact support if I have questions or need to make changes?+
You can reach us through the secure Chat Portal inside your Client Hub or by starting a new email to contact@kpcjdesign.com. To help us resolve your request quickly, you must include your: (1) Order ID, (2) Full Name, (3) Company Name (if applicable), and (4) a clear description of the issue or change request.

Unified Master Terms of Service

Version 4.20 | Legally Binding Master Terms Governing 3D Printing Hub & Laser Studio

These legally binding Master Terms of Service apply universally across all divisions and manufacturing services operated by K.P.C-J Design (Founder and CEO: Kevin Patrick Collis-Jahr). By submitting an inquiry, placing an order, approving a design freeze, paying an invoice, or transmitting digital assets, you (the Customer) explicitly agree that these terms govern all transactions across both the 3D Printing Hub (additive manufacturing, rapid prototyping, CAD engineering & NFC smart hardware) and the Laser Studio (precision diode laser engraving, vector marking & personalized blanks across wood, metal, acrylic, and leather):

Scope Notice: These unified terms apply equally and automatically to all private (B2C) and corporate (B2B) orders across both studios, unless an explicit written master agreement signed directly by the owner specifies otherwise.
Safety & Liability: Products are not edible, not food-safe, and usage in safety-critical environments is at your own risk. Liability is limited to the purchase price.
Dispute Resolution: K.P.C-J Design is committed to resolving all concerns with goodwill and transparency. We ask that clients report quality issues within 72 hours of delivery.

Trust is the foundation of the Modern Area. Your ideas and data are treated with the highest level of care.

1. Your Ideas Belong to You (Intellectual Property)

When you share a CAD, STL, or STEP file with us, it remains 100% your property. We will never reuse, resell, or distribute your custom digital files to another client, nor will we print your designs for our own commercial gain.

2. The "Gallery Consent" Rule

We are proud of the work we do together, but your privacy comes first. We will never post photographs or videos of your custom prints on our website, portfolio, or social media channels without your explicit, written permission. Your secrets stay secret.

3. Corporate Confidentiality & NDAs

We understand that B2B prototyping requires absolute discretion. All projects are treated as strictly confidential by default. If your organization requires a formal Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), we are fully prepared to sign it.

4. Default File Deletion (30-Day Policy)

Our standard policy is to permanently delete all digital assets—including 3D models, CAD files, and reference images provided for "Blank Canvas" or "High Precision" runs—from our systems exactly 30 days after your order has been successfully delivered. This ensures operational efficiency while guaranteeing long-term IP security.

5. Personal Data Protection (GDPR)

Based in Nordre Follo, Norway, we strictly adhere to European data protection standards (GDPR). We only collect info necessary to process and ship your order (name, address, email) on a strict need-to-know basis.

6. Session Memory, Google Analytics & Diagnostics

Your digital workbench configuration is stored locally on your device using 'localStorage' to prevent data loss if you refresh the page. We use Google Analytics in compliance with GDPR to collect anonymized website traffic and aggregate usage metrics only with your cookie consent. We also use Google reCAPTCHA to protect our order forms from spam and automated bots. Error telemetry is strictly pseudonymized for system uptime and security monitoring. We never sell your data, and you can manage or withdraw consent at any time via cookie settings.

7. Mutual Confidentiality (Data Reciprocity)

Just as we protect your information, we ask that you respect ours. Any proprietary pricing, technical advice, or design solutions shared by K.P.C-J Design must be kept confidential and not shared with third parties without consent.

8. Public Display & Attribution

We take immense pride in our craftsmanship. If a product originally designed or manufactured by K.P.C-J Design is showcased publicly, we require that K.P.C-J Design be clearly credited as the creator or partner.
